Black Jack Essential Basics – Part 1
The basic premise of the game is to be assigned cards adding up to 21. Every player is dealt 2 cards. When a black jack player is given a nine or less and an Ace they have been given a soft hand. When the blackjack player receives no Ace it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been given to every player at the table, including the dealer, each black jack player is given the chance to make 1 of 6 decisions:
Taking another card (Hit): When a player announces "hit" the croupier will deal them another card, if the addition of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed 21 the black jack player will have lost and that is the end of the game, if the card makes the value of the hand to 21 the player will be the winner and if the total has not yet achieved twenty one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been dealt: If a blackjack player is happy with the cards they’ll hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will disclose his/her cards and the gambler who has accumulated twenty one or the nearest to twenty one will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A gambler might request to double down which increases the bet by 100% they have placed. As soon as you have taken this action you can only be given 1 more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally specified by the blackjack table or casino rules so prior to wagering make sure you’re comfortable with the casino rules. If you are wagering at an internet betting house this is normally quite easy.
