I have wagered on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have played online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of cash at blackjack. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to beat the casino.

I still like the game and bet on a regular basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get rich with this method or defeat the casino, still you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the fact that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I wager with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Once I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original value.

I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very exciting on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years back with $750 after 20 mins using this tactic! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!

You have to understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the runs you notice gamble this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Take $5 paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet

Bet 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of 10 dollar

Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the first ten dollar wager

Bet 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of $20

Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial twenty dollar bet

Wager 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar

Bet forty dollar
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the first $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar

Bet 80 dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager

Bet 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $160 bet

If you departed at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
